About this journey

The three postcards of Corfu are on opposite sides of the island. Six private hours is what it takes to see all three without rushing any of them.

North-west first, to Palaiokastritsa, where the thirteenth-century monastery sits above six coves and the water changes colour by the hour. Then across the waist of the island to the Achilleion, Empress Elisabeth's retreat, and down into the Old Town for the fortress and the arcades. It is a lot of ground, which is exactly why it works better in your own vehicle than on a coach.
